Welcome to Harry French's page.
Harry French was instrumental in starting a revolution
in the design of fast Cray-fishing boats here in Western Australia.
Also, he designed the ever-popular 'wine ferries'
once known as "Miss Sandalford" and "Lady Houghton". These vessels incorporated
an innovative hull, designed by Harry to nullify most of the craft's 'wash'
and thereby decrease the erosion of the banks of Perth's beautiful Swan
River.
Eventually, Harry teamed up with Elmer Harris and
his designs were used to build the Harriscraft range of boats.
