Information
and support:
Volunteer breastfeeding counsellors are available at every meeting. Or you
may like to telephone the Breastfeeding Helpline (08) 9340 1200 to hear a
recording of today’s volunteer breastfeeding counsellors. Australian
Breastfeeding Association Website—well
worth visiting regularly. Subscription:Your
subscription helps support the breastfeeding counsellor network, giving
parents access to accurate breastfeeding information. It makes it possible
to educate the community about breastfeeding, with talks at schools, child
health centres, hospitals and many other places. All this makes it easier
for your sisters, neighbours and daughters to breastfeed in the future.

aim of the Australian Breastfeeding Association is “to empower women to
breastfeed”. This includes educating the community about breastfeeding.
We visit child health centres, schools (both primary and secondary),
health professionals, present displays in shopping centres and libraries
